Congressman Mike Kelly from Butler, PA is a car dealer. He has worked in the private sector his whole life and finds it harder and harder to do business every day because of the excessive regulation from Congress and State and Federal Agencies. He is obviously fed up. The five minute ‘rant’ in Congress shown below is obviously heartfelt. He uses no tele-prompters. He just speaks his mind. I think what he says would be echoed by most people involved in private business where they have ‘skin in the game’.

Would you rather have men like this passing laws in Congress or people like Nancy Pelosi who has always fed at the public trough? Let me know what you think.

I have had over 700 comments on this site and have approved all but one that was not spam. That one was laced with foul language and was clearly written by someone who lacked the intellect to get anyone to listen without trying to shock with four letter words.
Today, I got a second comment that I will not approve. It came from an email address attached to a pornographic male sex site. I googled the site and am glad I didn’t just go to the site – the clips of text in the Google results were extremely explicit.
The comment itself was just a statement that Kelly supports oil subsidies and therefore could not have any common sense. It may be that this person is a single-issue type and judges all politicians based on one litmus test. In any event, it was not worth the time I have spent on it so far. By advised that I won’t approve comments that are from despicable sites or which use foul language. I will approve all others….even the dumb ones.

“Let’s stop railing against the really wealthy because I got to tell you something, as a guy who has had to pay his own way his whole life, I am greatly offended by the idea that somehow someone in Washington knows how to spend my money better than I do.”
Ha!
