It seems that Senator Dodd now is admitting that he wrote in the loophole to his amendment contrary to his many protestations to the contrary yesterday. Watch as he backpedals about a dozen times saying “they” made him do it or his amendment would have been thrown out all together.
He also blames it on staff, on the Treasury Department, the Administration and anyone else he can think of. He did the best he could for all of us. His denial yesterday was just a minor confusion about the date, not an outright lie and coverup. Right.

Dodd Did It, he claims, at the behest of Obama, and O’s band of merry men.
O’s financial guru, Tax-Exempt Tim, will likely take the fall on this one (if he knows what’s good for him). O will throw him under the bus (despite O’s prior assertions that Timmy was the only one on earth smart enough to solve our financial problems). And, O will liken his former Treasury Secretary to all those greedy, scum-bag Wall Streeters who have single-handedly destroyed the world-wide financial markets.
Follow the money and you find Dodd and Obama were both recipients of six figure contributions from AIG in 2008. Just a spurious correlation, of course.
So far, no dead bodies (that we know of). DC’s looking more like Chicago, every day.
